Data Deletion Policy
ScaledStream (a service of Unbridled Technologies LLC) lets you delete your data yourself, at any time, without contacting support. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and the alternatives if you can't access your account.
Remember: ScaledStream never records or stores your video content in the first place — your stream is relayed in real time and no copy is kept. Deletion therefore concerns your account, configuration, and credentials.
Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (instant)
- Sign in at app.scaledstream.com.
- Open the account menu and choose Account.
- Select Delete account.
- Type your account email to confirm, and confirm the deletion.
Deletion takes effect immediately: your sessions are revoked, your sign-in identity is removed, and your account data is deleted from our production database.
Option 2 — Delete individual items
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. From the dashboard you can at any time:
- delete a stream (removes its ingest key and destinations);
- delete a destination from a stream;
- delete a saved platform connection — this removes the stored stream key or, for connected accounts (YouTube, Facebook), permanently deletes the stored OAuth tokens.
Option 3 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access your account, email support@scaledstream.com from the email address associated with the account with the subject "Data deletion request." We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, and confirm by reply when it is done.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your account, workspace, and user profile (email, name);
- all streams and their secret ingest keys;
- all destinations and platform connections, including stored destination stream keys and encrypted OAuth tokens for connected platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.);
- your notification preferences;
- your sign-in identity and all active sessions (revoked immediately); and
- feedback and support correspondence associated with the account.
What is retained
- Anonymized operational records — technical stream lifecycle events (start/stop timestamps and status). After account deletion these no longer reference your email, name, or any other personal information, and the keys they reference are dead.
- Short-lived server logs and database backups — deleted data may persist in routine backups and logs for up to 30 days before being purged on their normal cycle. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.
- Records we are legally required to keep, if any, for the legally required period.
Also revoke access on the platform side
Deleting a connection or your account deletes the tokens we hold. For completeness, you can also revoke ScaledStream from the platform's side:
- Google / YouTube: Google security settings → Third-party access → remove ScaledStream.
- Facebook: Settings → Business Integrations → remove ScaledStream. If you remove the app from within Facebook, you can also request deletion of the data we received from Facebook by emailing support@scaledstream.com as described above; we delete the stored Facebook tokens and associated data.
- Twitch and other platforms: connections use stream keys you provided rather than account access; deleting the connection removes the key from our systems. You may also rotate the key in the platform's own dashboard.
